Saabsters, Vehicle: 1990 900S, auto transmission, approaching 90,000 miles, new battery(replaced old one after problem began) Problem: Twice the car has just died while idling, once leaving a parking space and once stopped at a redlight. After it dies, the battery appears to be totally dead. I jump started it the first time, it ran rough and ABS light was on until I shut it off and re-started it. Ran fine for a couple weeks, then died at a stoplight, my son was driving so he pushed it into a gas station lot and by the time we got back to jump it, it started , without jumping it, but again running rough with the ABS light on until I restarted it again then it started and ran for 2-3 weeks just fine. Today, the first time I was driving it when the problem occurred. I was driving about 50mph with radio, lights and wipers on. First, the radio lost power, ABS light came on, and the wipers slowed to a crawl but the car didn't die. I shut off the lights and wipers, radio was already gone. I shifted to 2nd on the auto transmission and within about 20 seconds the radio came back on, wipers worked fine, etc., the ABS light stayed on until I got home, I shut the car off and restarted normally and the ABS light went off. Any ideas/advice will be welcomed!! Glen Wittnam
