Subject: rear door vents

I have just purchased a 1997 Saab 9000 CSE Anniversary edition and there are what seem to be vents under the arm rest on the doors. I was wondering how those were controlled or how to operate them. I know the vents on the top are to defrost the rear windows. Are there seperate heating ducts routed back there? Seperate fans? Any input would be appreciated. I love the car by the way. It's my first Saab. Switched from an Audi 200. Thanks, Norm
