Look at the wires going to and around the alternator. Sometimes a wire will get disconnected - especially if somebody was doing an oil filter change. Sometimes the connectors will just vibrate off. Check that. No? Then charge the battery & just take it to an auto electrical joint. They can toss a gizmo on it to see if it's charging. Sometimes the alt. can be rebuilt with new inserts.
