Subject: Check Engine Light

I recently purchased a 1996 900 SE. Love the car, drives great. Since I have owned the car my Check engine light has gone on twice. The first time, I noticed that some hoses were cracked and the PCV valve was not working. I changed the hoses and valve, and the service manager checked the messages which indicated a misfire. He then reset . The "check engine" light stayed off for 3 weeks, then it went on again. I brought it in for service, and they said they couldn't find anything. They checked the sparke plugs and they looked good. He mentioned that the problem could be the DI Board. Does this make any sense? Also, what is the absolute best spark plug for this car. Many thanks, G
