Subject: check engine light

I have a manual '92 9000 turbo S with 300.000 km's and untill last week running nicely. When accelerating and revving up quickly to about 3.500 rpm (exept in 5th) the 'check engine' light switches on. When shifting up, after one or two seconds twe warning disappears. My dealer says the warning light should burn constantly in case of an disfunctioning motor and not just at high rpm's. It is probably only a matter of resetting the computer. As long as I didn't hear strange noises under the bonnet, I shoudn't worry and just pay them a visit at the maintenance interval in october. Am I worried about nothing and is he right or am I right and is something possibly ruining my motor? Please advise! Theo
