I can see both points of view. How much repair can be done for less than £100.? Chances are that there would be few alternatives to that price. The dealer doesn't like to have cars standing around which just takes up space in his garage, hence there is usually an understanding that minor repairs can go ahead if the car is booked in for those repairs. When I bring my car in, I normally have to sign a worksheet, all work is listed and you can see directly what is approved.
