Subject: Re: 9000 valve noise

I hate admit this, but it appears that the valve noise I was hearing was simply low oil. Tha's exactly what I though it sounded like, but since my low oil light hadn't come on I thought the level was fine. It was after talking with a mechanic who said that they usually just try a heavier oil when this noise pops up that I actuall took a look at the oil level. Sure enough, I was down by more than one and half quarts. I guess that's why they're called idiot lights - cause idiots like me get to believing in them. Hopefully, I haven't damaged my motor.
