Subject: Re: Is anyone towing a boat with a 9-5?

I tow a reasonably heavy espresso trailer with my 9000 automatic, and I don't recommend it. The transmission, if left to it's own devices, spends most of the time changing from 3rd to 4th at 50mph. I don't let it as it's bad for the auto box, so I keep it in 3rd until I get a good flat or downhill stretch, then manually select 4th. Manually select 3rd before any gradient too, to protect the gearbox. I'd be interested in how you install a secondary transmission cooler.
