OnStar is a bigbrother system used in the US. It is an obsolete analog mobile phone combined with a GPS receiver. There is no display on the GPS but your position can be sent to OnStar using the phone. When you are lost you can call the OnStar helpdesk and ask for directions. When you are hungry you can call the OnStar helpdesk and ask for the nearest fast food drive thru and then when you have an accident trying to eat and drink at the same time you can call for help using OnStar. I guess someone from the US can fill in the details. -- G–ran Larsson Senior Systems Analyst hoh AT approve DOT se
