I think what's happening is that the 'over-boost protection' is cutting in. I.E. the Turbo is generating too much boost and the ECU shuts down. Usually caused by a faulty APC valve, and/or a ceased wastegate or actuator. Try the wastegate first as they usually cease on the swivel link where the actuator rod attaches to the wastegate rod.
