Subject: barely audible noise from transmission ('88 9kT)
I have an '88 9000 turbo, manual trans. 185,000 km
Lately, I've been hearing a barely audible, slightly osculating whine when
in third and fourth gear. When at speed and in neutral, the sound
disappears.
Should I just keep listening until and if it gets loud enough to tell my
mechanic, or should I take some action now?
