I know about that one. Back when I was a teenager and drove the 1970 Chev pick-up with a three speed on the column, I coasted all the time since I was always broke and didn't have money for gas. One day, I accidently shifted into first instead of third and laid down most of the tires. Dad noticed because they were brand new! I thought I was going to blow the rear end right out, it was quite an experience since I was going about 65mph at the time. I handled it just fine though, posi and all. As for urban legends....I think driving while barefoot is one, although I'm not positive. >There were also interesting regulations on vehicles selling "frozen >dairy products", i.e. ice cream trucks. We've got this private company around here that drives up and wants you to buy their ice cream! I hate them, I do try to be polite but..... I can't believe they stay in business. >Hard to believe they're not allowed to sell while moving. Cripes, I can see it now, them driving along at 5mph with loads of little kids running after them - throwing the money and icecream at each other. :) I know...my imagination running away again. ~J~
