Jason, 1st, getting off the ring was a pain on my friend's 9k as well. I almost gave up as well. What got it was to use the screwdriver and mallet method, but with 2 screwdrivers and 2 mallets and timed blows from both of us. 2nd, get a used pump assembly from saab depot, english swedish spares, Goldwing, etc. at this point you have 2 options, replace the pump in the used assembly with a new one, or just use the used one until it quits. You have to be very careful with the elbows or they will break. If you do replace teh pump, first set the assembly in a bath of gasoline for a couple of days to swell the rubber again. While it is apart, keep the rubber submerged in gas to keep it as soft as possible to get the new pump in. Make sure that you use a generous amount of synthetic grease on the threads. The dirt was what makes it tough to get off and the grease will help exclude it. good luck KeithG "Jason Stefanovich" <stefanjnopsamnet> wrote in message news:3B9A95AF.B49E03C8nopsamnet... > I'm crossposting this from Saabnet.com 9000 BB.
