Subject: Re: higher maintenance costs for Saab 9-3 (convertible) than Volvo ?

I will give you my opinion on this. I would choose the Volvo C70 over the Saab in a heartbeat. Much better looking car, and I would expect the reliability and maintenance costs of the Volvo to be at least as good as the Saab, and probably better. I would also seriously consider the new BMW 3-series convertible as an option as well. I love that car, but the C70 looks give it a good run for my money! I know what you mean about the Saab, being a rather trendy popular car right now, but I think you would be happier with the Volvo in the long run. I've heard horror stories about Saab transmissions. If you do get the Saab convertible, make sure it's a manual transmission. That would obviate one concern right there. Also, get the best extended warranty available. Good luck!
