Read *very* closely. For example, most will not cover gasket/seal leaks. They only cover replacement of something like a headgasket when it is in conjunction with a major failure of a piston, rod, cam, etc. Gasket and seal leaks can be expensive to fix and are much more common than internal part failure. Also, check closely to see what they consider normal wear and tear, and what sort of documentation you need to prove that a major problem was not your fault. Read up on the turbo section, some don't cover it or "accessories" like the alternator. Then, realize that it's insurance, and decide if the cost of the policy is worth it considering the potential cost of the repairs. Not buying an extended warranty simply means you are "self insured". You gamble that you won't have a major repair and if you win, you get to keep the money you would have paid for the warranty. Bob
