The car is an auto 2.3 low pressure > ECO turbo which is supposed to be economical. My last car (a 2.0 fuel > injected Galant) always got more than 10km per litre. Can anyone tell me > what sort of fuel economy I should expect? I should also mention that my > wife and I have driven the car very gently since we bought it just over > three weeks ago. if you drive your car gently, it makes no difference if you use 91 or 96 octane fuel, you know .. its only the knock sensitivity.. and i dont think if you drive the car at 2-3 K rpm you can get any knock with standard turbo pressure / compression but for your problem, could be air intake/exhaust system or the AMM bye simon putz
