Subject: Re: Can I reduce oil changes with a bypass oil filter?

>I maintain the oil in my Saab myself, but I can't stand the thought of >climbing under that car again this winter. I've heard a bypass oil filter >will extend my oil changes and if so, I'm gonna get one I use AMSOIL synthetic and do a yearly change (without the Bypass Filter). Have had AMSOIL Bypass Filter on a couple of Saabs--do yearly oil analysis and filter changes. Only problem is mechanical--trying to get the thing hooked up. In the 900 turbo, plenty of room for the filter but limited access to the takeoff point. On my 9000T, I couldn't find a convenient spot to put the filter itself, so am resigned to annual drain.
