It does a much better job of covering the 16 valve engines and everything else for that matter, than the Haynes 900 manual. w.r.t. AMM: The air mass meter. As the name suggests, it measures the mass of the intake air. It is between the air box and the throttle body. w.r.t. AIC The automatic idle control. It is located at the "front" of the engine. You'll see two hoses of approx 1/2 in dia. going to it from the throttle body. It is just ahead of the fuel rail. How do you know when it is ready for the junk yard? From the questions you're asking, I assume you're having idling problems while the machine is cold. I'd need a little more info in order to know if it is ready to visit a junk yard. What else is wrong, or has recently gone wrong? Best of luck, John Rausch johnranopsampot.phys.uwosh.edu 86 900S 87 900S 88 900 SPG 92 900 TC
