Let me know what group you are reading this in and I'll remove it from the crosspost. Also, I'll offer to stand in front of the exhaust of any internal combustion engine, as you requested. If you can find one on the Shuttle, let me know. Oh, and, I wouldn't doubt that there are 43 drops of synthetic oil on various parts of the Shuttle.
