I have a 1987 9kT, and it requires very little work. Having said that, here are the main points. Make sure the car's been regularly serviced. Lots of new oil means turbe is still young. You didn't say what the mileage is, or if it's an auto. If 5sp, and the clutch hasn't been replaced recently, then it may need replacing. Clutch is cheap (£150/$200), but it takes about 8hrs to do. If the clutch master/slave cylinders haven't been replaced, they may also need replacing soon. Other than that, expect minor items to need attantion, like the alternator, power steering, wheel bearings, etc. Not all at once, of course, but they will all eventually fail. But's it's all minor stuff, not too expensive. Grunff
