Not an expert but I'd say you're getting shafted! Is this an actual Saab dealer or just some used car putz? Hello Group -- I have a 1992 Saab 900S Convertible currently in the shop (a not very local dealership) for a new transmission. When I first brought the car to them, they told me that they would need to order the new transmission, which would take four business days and then it would require about another two days of work -- for a total time of a little over a week. Not a problem....and they were giving me a loaner to boot. Well, almost two weeks later, they call and tell me that the transmission has yet to arrive and would take another 21 to 28 days to get there. This was almost two weeks ago. Has anyone else had any troubles getting a transmission lately? The dealership claims that there are no trannies anywhere in the US. But, it seems like 6 weeks to get a transmission is a little excessive. On top of that, they want their loaner car back -- which I have managed to put off for two weeks (as I mentioned, I live a little bit of a distance from the dealership). On the other hand, I really don't want to be without a car for the next two or three weeks -- and what scares me more, is that after 28 days, will they tell me that the transmission STILL isn't there? If you can tell me anything, please either e-mail, or post here. Thanks, Steve
