Subject: Re: Why do Saab's have such poor RESALE VALUE?

Hi all, I bought my '95 900 S basic new at below dealer's invoice (probably some mfg'er promotional) and then had all the design blunders fixed during the warranty period. So after warranty period, no cost at all since I do my oil changes and spark plugs and distributor parts changes, and fuel filter etc changes myself. Just my computer info dispay is losing quite a few of its pixils. I tried to sell it once for book value and gave up when no one even called after 5 weeks. Now I am enjoying every ride and don't give a shit if anyone else wants it or not. I added the SAAB stainless steel exhaust when the other rusted out after 6 yrs....and enjoying it at least 2x with the great sportscar sound. I need to get a shop manual I guess....haven't done that yet....after 82K miles, I haven't needed brakes yet. I did get the dealer to change the brake fluid once and a sportscar mechanic to change the main pulley belt that was worn. Best wishes, Jim Shugart '95 900 S (manual trans 2.3L)
