hi, i just got a 1984 saab 900 turbo with about 150k miles. it runs very well, no missing, very clean engine and exhaust. the only issue is that when im going uphill on highways, as the turbo moves into about the middle of the orange band, it suddenly stutters, the needle bounces down a little (like 1/4") and then it immediately grabs again. this produces a "slipping effect". the engine rpm's do NOT visibly change though. this problem is not really noticable under hard accelleration such as in the city. i have recently replaced the oil with penzoil 10w30 "turbo" oil. it still does it, but not *quite* as much. my question is, given a currently very limited budget, are these signs that the turbo is going to poop out soon !!?? i have to drive round trip from cleveland new york next weekend and i cant afford to take it to the shop until nov. 15 (payday). any thoughts or suggestions would be extremely helpful. thanks, todd
