Subject: False brake light failure alerts ('00 9-5)?
Our 2000 9-5 wagon has been giving us a number (about a dozen in 4
weeks, but it's been happening longer than this) of false brake light
alerts: I step on the brake, I get a "bing" and the SID says "brake
light failure". The next time I get a chance to check the brake
lights, they're invariably OK.
Dealer has already had one go (still under warranty) at checking the
problem out, including replacing the bulbs, but it's had no effect.
Is this a common problem or is it a quirk of just my car?
