I have a 1998 900SE Turbo Conv. I bought it in Aug with a little over 42,000 miles. I have no basis of comparison since my last Saab was a 72 Sonnet that I drove until a 74 TR-6 came my way. I look forward to climbing into the cockpit of the 900 SET every morning. After the mix of Honda's and Nissan's I have driven for the last 20 years the Saab 900SET is a blast. Powerful, responsive, with most of the amenities of a modern luxury car. Match up of the LPT and automatic are shockingly good, if not as dramatic as I am sure the manual would be. Cap that off with great looks (IMHO) and it is a winner! Down sides: a little ragged on rough road surfaces but that may be mostly the ragtop issue. I also see a fair bit of warranty work, electrical, door trim, etc in the records. Everything great now but I worry a little about the future (post warranty). Bottom line: everybody in the house (wife and kids) love the car. We are considering a 9-5 in the future for a family car. Great to back with Saab. I hope GM doesn't mess it up. Good luck, Bryan
