Subject: bad vibes

Got my 85 900 8v almost 18 months ago now, and from the beginning it would vibrate at speeds above 120km/h (75mph), even after I changed the ball joints & shocks. Recently it's begun to vibrate at 70km/h (45mph) and upward. I have the feeling it's in the rear brakes because when I"m on the freeway and I apply brake pressure, the noise and vibration are significantly reduced, but when I release the brake it all comes back. I thought maybe it was warped rotors or that the calipers were loose in their mountings. What's more, sometimes it's totally smooth even at 160km/h (100mph) but the vibrations come in waves. It comes for a minute, then goes for a mintute, comes for a minute, goes for a minute.... What's going on? Saabster 85 900 8v 5spd 204,000 kms
