Richard Henwood <richardnopsamooled.co.uk> pressed random keys until the following was produced: > Well, funny you should ask. > I just go the car, and had to replace the exhaust as it was blowing really > bad. So, when you're letting off the pedal, it stalls right then? Check your dashpot - if you look at the throttle mechanism, where the cable goes to the throttle on the intake? There's a canister & plunger there (pancake looking thing) that is supposed to stop the throttle plate from closing too quickly. When you open the throttle by hand, then let it go closed by spring pressure, there's a spec (3 seconds or so, it seems to me, but I'm possibly wrong) of how long that thing will take to slowly compress to the point where the throttle closes completely. On my car (an '88 900 turbo) there's a microswitch which closes when the throttle plate is completely closed; I can hear a "click" from it, which tells me when that has happened. Take a look; perhaps your dashpot is shot, and the throttle is closing too quickly. Even if that's not *this* problem, it could be related, and it's certainly easy enough & cheap enough to replace. If it's not causing this problem, it's causing higher emissions if nothing else, by being bad. Take a look & let us know either way - you've got me curious now... Dave Hinz
