On Mon, 26 Nov 2001 10:50:06 GMT, just as I was about to see how much duct tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, itten <ittennopsam.com> distracted me by babbling thusly: >I have a '94 900 Turbo Conv, and the top is getting a little worn. I >shudder to think of one day replacing it. Does this have to be a Saab >original, or is any local upholstry or body shop able to handle this? >Any idea of price? Funnily enough, I had the roof replaced on my 90-900 Turbo cab just a couple of weeks ago, mid November, here in Australia. Hand cut, sewn, and fitted, it cost me AUD1200, which is cheap if you convert it to USD600. Equal to a "factory" roof but without paying the silly prices. It meant driving interstate (I live in Sydney and the motor trimmer is in Melbourne) but I combined it with a business trip and mini-holiday to catch up with some friends so it was still well worth it. Closest quote I got here in Sydney was $700 more.
