I also have a 1984 900 S with periodic stuck ignition. Squirt in some graphic lock lubricant. It works wonders. Most recently, it just happened to me 300 mi. from home in Vermont over Thansgiving. I was stranded, but luckily it was while house/dog-sitting my brother's house (not on the road in remote northern Vermont). I picked up some graphite lock lubricant for $1.55 and squirted some in. Within a few turns, it was back to smooth normal operation. Good luck, -jw -- 1984 900 S hatchback RI
