I think that basically, as engines go, it's ok, But for various reasons (timing belt, twin heads, etc) the reliability does not approach that of the Saab 4 cyl (which is a very, very tough engine). Most Saabers rate reliability quite highly, and as such, don't think much of an engine which is inherently less reliable. Also, it's a real b!tch to work on... Grunff
