I have a 1990 900S, automatic transmission...probably the best car I've ever owned. It has about 90K miles on it but we've maintained it by the book, plus some. A good independent Saab mechanic is good to have, too. The only major problem has been the head gasket, replaced once under warranty and once just a few thousand miles ago. It's about to be passed down to our daughter to take to college. I'd want to see maintenance records if I were to buy it. Good luck!
