The day before I discovered the problem, I was doing some Net surfing for "1985 Saab" and came across a review where the guy said it was an excellent car but the handbrake caliper had to be replaced at 200,000 miles. I thought, "Huh, wonder how I'll know if that goes out..." Didn't take long to be enlightened.
