Yes it is actually Walbro. To get the ring loose is sometimes difficult. Try pliers. If that does not work, try tapping it wilh a dull screwdriver. Dull is important so that you don't tear off too many tangs. If this is unsuccessful, try 2 screwdrivers and 2 mallets and hit at the same time 180 degrees apart. That is what it took the last time. There is a good proceedure at www.townsendimports.com which says which pump to get and how to install it. Good luck.
