That's an expensive part and since the dashboard must be dismantled and reassembled it's costly in labour too (I know - it happened to me and hurt my wallet!). >> Due to instrument replacement I've gotten got good at facia and panel assembly on my 86 900. One tip-take the radio out. It'll make you life much easier. I've found that Saab dashs are much easier to work on than most. And here in LA we have a couple of self serve wreaking yards where a complete instrument panel will only cost you about $20. And if you work carefully the printed circut comes out and goes in easily.
