Having looked at the lashing eyes of many cars, I was very confident that we could tow the car with no probs. I told the AA man that I would take full responsibility if the eye broke, and we proceeded to tow the car home with no problems. Just because they tell you it's their policy not to tow, doesn't mean it is based on any wisdom, usually they're (quite sensibly) covering their butts. Grunff
