Does anyone out there know about interchanging transmissions between different years/engines on 9000's? I've got an '86 with a 5-speed that's rusting. I want to get a newer 9000 with the 2.3, but most of the ones I find for sale are automatics (yuk!). The big question: can I put my old 5-speed (after rebuilding, of course!) into a newer 9000 with the 2.3 motor? BTW, yes I know I'll have to do shift linkage, clutch stuff, etc., that does not bother me (done it several times on 900's). Thanks in advance, Eric Law
