Bill, Removing the facia is a mega-major job and seriously avoided if you can. Besides which, in order to remove it you have to remove just about everything from it first! So there's every chance you would already have access to the bulbs you want to replace before you ever get that far. I base this advice on the info given in the 9000 '85-'95 Haynes Manual. Sorry I can't be more definitive, as I've not actually been any deeper than removing the dashboard lid.
