My wife's 95 900s needed new pads and rotors at 50K Km (about 30K Miles). I also questioned the service guy. He said that we were lucky to get that much out of the pads, and it's common for the rotors to be undersize by then also. No free rotors however, although not that costly, however he then said that the 93 (our other car) will wear just as fast, except that the rotors are VERY expensive. Perhaps it's common accross the range with *softer* material being used on the rotors.
