Let's see... on my '92 9000, I had the same problem - all the damn thing would do was beep at me. Turns out someone had mis-entered the security code three time, putting the unit in lockout mode. The solution: turn on the stereo (obviously with the key on), and go take a nap to escape the incessant beeping - after an hour, the unit will accept using the Band button to put it back in code mode, at which point you can (um) enter the code. Note: this hour wait period is a good time to take the CD unit out, pop open the case and blow it out with canned air. May as well swap the laser clean with denatured alcohol while you're at it. Damn things get so dirty... Then again, the nap option sounds really appealing right now. S
