Not bad enough being stranded 100's of miles away from home, with Saab saying they would have to wait for the part to be sent over from Sweden. After some discussion , everything went quiet for half an hour and then all of a sudden they turn up with one from the local Vaxhall garage (i.e GM, Opel). It wasnt till then that I realised it really wasnt a Saab engine at all! By the way. Can anyone tell me how often I should get the *timing* belt replaced? I am at about 36,000 miles now. Sounds as if this is done free of charge in the USA, which isnt the case in the UK. My local Saab garage were interested to know details. Can anyone fill me in please? J
