You are betting that you'll have higher repair bills than the cost of the policy. The odds are against you or the insurance company would not sell policies. Expect to pay $1200 to $1900 for a policy on a turbo. If you buy, look for one that includes seals. This can be a major cost and most policies exclude them (like a head gasket replacement or a rear main seal) unless it is in conjunction with another major repair (like you threw a rod). It is *very* unlikely that your Saab will need internal engine work - it's is much, much more likely that a head gasket or seal will go. If you can find one that covers accessories like the alternator and A/C compressor... those are wear items too. Many policies exclude "engine accessories". Also watch the electronic part coverage - SID displays and such can be very pricy. Be careful what you buy as a warranty on (only) internal engine and tranny parts is a poor buy. Bob
