I appreciate the responses. I found out that the Saab parts book calls it a "companion housing". I'm going to look into swapping sides on this *expensive* part after checking that a wooden dowel will prevent the differential tumbling when the second shaft comes out. Cheers/Don "LABOR SVGIT"
