My Saab is a pre-DRL model, so I haven't tried this, but some DRLs shut off when the parking brake is set (when the dashboard "Brake" light comes on). Try pulling up the brake handle just one or two clicks until the warning light comes on and see if that shuts off the DRLs. The way this works may be different on cars with automatic transmissions (such as having to be in Park, set the parking brake and then continue driving). This should work for those infrequent occasions when you might want to drive a short distance with the DRLs off. If you wish to disable DRLs on a more permanent basis, the dealer can arrange this for you.
