On will be On and Off will be Off, but you will not have parking lamps. If you want parking lamps, have the dealer reprogramme the computer. It cost me $35 as the min. charge was 1/2 hr. labour. The front fog lamp switch illuminates and can be left on ALL the time - that is if you're a BMW wannabe. The rear fog lamp is a momentary switch and lights an indicator lamp on the instrument cluster. When the car is shut off, the rear fog lamp goes off and the button must be pushed again. This keeps you from looking like an obnoxious Volvo or Jag driver. Tod. '99 9-3 and also a control freak....
