The front foglight switch button will get brighter when pushed in, however there is no indicator light on the dash. The rear foglight button DOES NOT get brighter, but there is an indicator light that comes on in the dash. Also normal function is that the foglights only work with the headlight switch in the far right position. The front foglights on the 1999-2000 have two bulbs in them. One is the foglight and the other is a cornering light. If the turnsignal is used with the foglights off, only one foglight appears to be working. I get a lot of complaints about the foglight being burnt out when in fact, the owner is just seeing the cornering light. The cornering light was discontinued in 2001 model year cars.
