Subject: Re: is this a deal? on the 2002 93

Hi Guys: I just leased my Saab 93 with Prestige package (red with beige leather) with 3100 down and 354/mo for a 15000/yr 3 yrlease. I dont drive cars fellas, i wreck them, literally, with my crazy abusive driving, so forget lecturing me about buying! What can i tell you. I was 9 months before end of lease on a 2000 VW GTI GLX (2100 down with 385/mo with same conditions. The GTI is a superb luxo hatch (climate, automatic wipers, leather heated, dimming) with one major flaw. The dumb Krauts forgot to balance the suspension. As a result it leans so heavy in corners that you'll thing it will flip over the front end corner (the one facing the outside of the turn). Needless to say this prompted emesis in my better half who could barely handle my spirited rides (60mph in tight turns etc). Furthermore Turkins immigrant workers are apparently unionizing in Germany, so they have shifted production to Brazil from 2001, and you can only guess how quality will shift :( I went to the dealer casually on Friday to test drive a Saab cause i read about the leases on the net. I was hoping that if i liked it i could get it in November at the end of my old lease. And yes i liked it so this 20 yo dealer guy just picked up the phone and bought out the GTI from VW credit in 5 minutes then called his wholesale dealer and sold it for 500 on top, then made me a lease agreement and BINGO there i was, driving off 2 hours later in a Saab. My wife almost had a heart attack but trust me, she recovered quickly once seated in the passenger seat :) I still cant believe how i lucked out ! Don't get me wrong now, no GTI but this car takes a lot of finesse to tap the power of turbo on a standard shifter. But once unleashed, this beast started burning tire shifting from 2nd to 3rd (with traction control light on haha). Furthermore although no BMW, it handles cornering in a great way, so much more easier on the skirts :) And the sweet sounding turbo BRRRRRRRRM is what made me baptise him Rode Orm (Red Orm) after the main character of a historical novel by a guy Bengtson, about a viking with a lust for blood and adventure. Did i tell you how i love to tease the guys from OnStar (free for one year) with request like "I'm headed to Domino's, can you please order for me?") My wife caught me in the garage, sitting and looking at the car earlier today. Needless to say my cheeks turned red and she turned yellow with jealousy. Sorry to finish saying that i am a slave of Viggen, and i will ride all the way to Valhalla with him (Odin or not in it:)).
