Beats being ejected by the door popping open when it shouldn't, and it certainly reduces the chances of being carjacked. Hard to say which reason(s) it was done for, but they obviously have some justification for it. Does Saab still publish the "engineering features" books for their models, explaining and describing the clever stuff like this, and why it's done the way it is? Dave Hinz Firefighter/EMT
