The cars are becoming more uniform, and with GM and Ford now in the driving seats, we will probably see more in that direction. A classic 900 and a square 760 couldn't be more different, here is a real dichotomy and the owners were enemies! The staid upright Volvo 760 often reminded me of the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow; the 760 looked like a poor man's imitation RRSS. The classic 900 also had some style problems, being hastily glued together from earlier designs. The positioning of rear air went looks like a DIY job. The overhangs are huge, but somehow it works. If the Volvo was a poor man's RRSS, the Saab 900 turbo was a poor man's 911. Johannes
