Thanks Jeff for the undocumented tip. I don't think the manual mentions that the light should come on every 3000 miles. As for oil use, my dealer says some do and some don't. Yet I'd like to know what causes our 9-3 to sometime use quite a bit of oil quite quickly. I'd understand it if I'd been driving it at speed down an autobahn. Cheers, Tony.
