Hi, > If the car was idling OK before the front pipe section went, then it's possible > that the lambda probe is sending an incorrect signal, due to the split (assuming > you have a cat and lambda probe/sensor). Mine did the same, and even after I > replaced the flexible section it continued for a week or so until it sorted > itself out, only to recur a few months later when the idle valve went. Make > sure it's not your idle control valve. I don't know where it is located on the > 2.0 engine, as I have the 2.3, where it's located under the inlet manifold. the strange thing is, that the car idles fine when the engine is cold, but when it gets warm it swings around 900 to 1300 and nearly stalls. the only reason i could think of for the check engine light coming up is because the gas mixture is maybe wrong (running rich because of the AMM/Lambda not working) but im not sure on that. i couldnt find any good sources for the flexible front pipe so it would be very nice if you could point me in some direction. the only thing i found was a racing downpipe from abbott ;) bye simon putz
